FAQ
In this section you will see various questions I get asked on a regular basis and so here are the answers!
Q. How long have you been a Photographer/been doing Photography?
A. At the time of writing this I have been undertaking Photography seriously for just over 2 years!
Q. Do you have other examples of your work?
A. after 2 years of photography I have a good sized Archive of images; I try to display a broad range from all the fields which I now have experience in. I have a good and established web presence, so you can find me on various networking sites showcasing my work; Facebook and Purestorm are the two which have generated the most work so far!
Q. Do you have your own studio?
A. Currently I do not. However, I have access to several in the local area and I am working towards getting a comprehensive mobile studio set up.
Q. How much do you charge?
A. I have always adopted a more personal than generic ‘one price fits all’ approach; I take all factors into consideration during negotiations although my expenses are usually standardised! When making a booking please be clear as to what you would like to receive from the shoot, so that I can work towards giving the best possible quote for your needs.
Q. What type of photography do you do?
A. I like to think of my work as 'Glamorous Fashion', in other words I like to encourage emotion and keep the focus on the Human aspect of the model rather than just using them to showcase the clothing, please be aware that my definition of glamour is that the model does not have to be in Lingerie or less, Audrey Hepburn is a very Glamorous woman and that is what I aim to achieve sexy not seedy.
Q. I’ve never had a shoot before how do I know I can trust you?
A. I have references available at request from various models who I have worked with, when arranging a shoot with someone new I quite often ask to meet prior, I always suggest a very public place and insist on someone being there to chaperone you, sometimes I will bring an additional person with me. If you are under 18 it is usually common practice to bring one of your parents along!
Q. What kind of modelling do you think I will be good at?
A. If I have never worked with you personally, this becomes a rather awkward question. Simply put if you are under 18 you are restricted to Fashion, lifestyle, sport and similar. If you are over 18 a lot more factors need to be considered most important being height. I prefer to have had a shoot before I suggest where I think you could find most work. I will also help in any way I can for you to achieve as much success, but more importantly fun as possible.
Q. Have you ever been published?
A. I have 2 adverts due to be published very shortly; I will be shooting this year for various projects and clients! UPDATE 06 may 2009 First Advert appeared in Print
Q. What do you want (from the shoot or from me as a model)?
A. MOST important Reliability and honesty, good communication is a must too, in order to arrange a shoot, details have to be discussed:- time, place and style.
I do not always approach a model thinking I want her for an existing project, sometimes I approach just to get a small shoot to see if I can create a theme that works best for that particular model!
